T. J. Gibson III served as assistant dean (1956-1969) and then as associate dean (1969-1984) for students in the University of Texas School of Law. The collection consists of files created and maintained by Gibson in his involvement in law school admissions, student discipline, student organizations, curriculum, the Sunflower Ceremony (the Law School's commencement ceremony), and other aspects of the Law School's administration.

T.J. Gibson III served as assistant dean of students, University of Texas School of Law, 1956-1969, and as associate dean of students, 1969-1984. He was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in 1970.
